Sabbatical policy
This policy allows qualifying RadHR Core Team members — those with at least two years' service — to take a sabbatical of up to three months at full pay, or up to six months at half-pay, for any purpose without expectation of organisational benefit. Requests must be submitted at least six months in advance and are approved by the Core Team on a consensus basis, with a decision target of within one month. The policy covers the full planning process, including workload redistribution, use of the Facilitators' Pool for cover, budget considerations, and how to handle overlapping requests — making it a useful reference for small organisations designing people-centred leave policies.
