Stop Data Discrimination Campaign
The Stop Data Discrimination campaign, hosted within the Migrant Digital Justice Toolkit by Open Rights Group (ORG), opposes the UK Government's Data Protection and Digital Information (DPDI) Bill, which ORG argues would weaken GDPR-derived privacy protections and expand the use of biased algorithms against marginalised individuals. The resource includes policy briefings, webinar recordings, open letters to Ministers, and an action pack to help people write to their MP or take other campaign steps. Particular attention is given to the specific harms the Bill poses to migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, as well as to health data, adtech, and local authority use of technology. Note that some content references live legislative developments and may require checking for the current status of the Bill.
