Getting started with safeguarding

This NCVO guide provides a structured introduction to safeguarding for voluntary organisations, walking through six steps to successful safeguarding and outlining what the Charity Commission expects. It covers legal and regulatory responsibilities, the additional challenges of working overseas, and practical steps to take when there are immediate concerns about someone's safety. The resource is free to all and was developed with support from the National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital Culture, Media and Sport.
