Associates/freelance contract agreement

This template agreement sets out the overarching framework between RadHR and an associate or freelancer, covering the nature of the relationship (independent contractor, not employee), pay rates linked to RadHR's Pay Policy, cancellation payments on a sliding scale based on notice given and days affected, confidentiality obligations, joint Creative Commons intellectual property ownership, conflict of interest management, liability, subcontracting restrictions, and termination conditions. It is designed to be used alongside separate written work plans agreed per activity, making it flexible for organisations that engage associates on an ad-hoc basis. A notable feature is the pathway clause: associates working more than one day per week over three months may qualify to join the core team. The contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
