About these safeguarding pages

This page introduces NCVO's suite of safeguarding resources, outlining simple steps that voluntary organisations in England can take to prevent harm, harassment, bullying, abuse, and neglect affecting staff, volunteers, and the people they work with. The resources were developed collaboratively by an NCVO-led partnership including organisations such as the NSPCC, the Ann Craft Trust, UK Youth, and NAVCA, and were funded jointly by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the National Lottery Community Fund under the Safeguarding Training Fund – Phase 1. Importantly, the pages provide general information only and are not a substitute for specific legal advice; organisations delivering regulated services for children or adults at risk may have additional obligations beyond what is covered here.
