Safeguarding training

This NCVO guide sets out the safeguarding training obligations all organisations must meet, including an annual review requirement, and explains the main routes to fulfilling them: designing in-house training, using local infrastructure organisations or safeguarding boards, or commissioning national providers. It signposts specific course options from NCVO, NSPCC Learning, and the Ann Craft Trust (covering children, adults at risk, and disabled young people), as well as BOND's specialist overseas safeguarding training. NCVO members are noted to be eligible for discounts from trusted training suppliers. The guide is particularly useful for designated safeguarding leads and small charities unsure where to start when planning their training programme.
