New child leave policy

This policy from Tipping Point sets out entitlements for team members when a new child comes into their care, regardless of how the child joins the family. It provides 6 months of full paid leave, followed by the option to claim Statutory Maternity Allowance (currently £172.48/week or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower) for the remainder of up to 39 weeks. The policy also grants 1 month of full paid leave in the event of miscarriage or child bereavement, and applies to all ongoing team members on contracts longer than 6 months, irrespective of length of service. Annual leave and bank holidays continue to accrue during leave, though sick leave does not.
