Protest leave

This RadHR template policy enables organisations to offer staff dedicated 'protest leave' to participate in marches, campaign events, and demonstrations, recognising civil action as an important civic right aligned with organisational values. The leave does not count against holiday or sick leave, can be taken at short or advance notice (subject to line manager approval), and staff are not required to disclose the specific action they are attending. A notable restriction applies to registered charities: protest leave may not be used for party political activities such as canvassing or leafleting.
