Staff travel

This policy sets out how travel time is treated for Tripod staff across three scenarios: business travel, attending training as a participant, and commuting. For business travel outside normal working hours, staff can claim full working hours if they can work during transit; if not, Tripod covers up to 50% of non-working travel time, capped at half a working day. Travel to training courses as a participant draws on the individual's annual training time budget, or annual leave if that budget is exhausted. For commuting, only the portion of each journey that falls between 30 and 60 minutes counts as working time, with illustrative examples provided. The policy also notes that Tripod has arrangements to support staff with commuting expenses.
