‘Who do we accept money from’ policy

This policy, produced by the Gastivists collective and shared via RadHR, defines clear criteria for which funders the organisation will refuse outright (e.g. fossil fuel companies, organisations linked to destructive activities or the BDS list), which it will try to avoid unless in financial difficulty (e.g. governments, corporations, funders with heavy reporting requirements), and which it actively welcomes (e.g. values-aligned individuals, foundations with light reporting, and ethical banks). It also outlines a lightweight internal due-diligence process in which a nominated 'Money Circle' researches a proposed funder's origins and requirements before taking a final decision. The policy is particularly useful for small, politically engaged collectives seeking to codify ethical fundraising boundaries and shift financial decision-making power internally. Note that the policy reflects the specific values and context of Gastivists and would need adapting for other organisations.
