Flat structure learning & development approach

This policy sets out a simple, trust-based approach to learning and development suited to organisations with flat structures. Every team member receives £500 per year to spend on training, workshops, or other learning as they see fit, with optional support from an Organisational Culture lead for prioritisation. Paid-for opportunities are complemented by encouraged use of work time for free learning such as reading, videos, or stakeholder meetings. Staff are guided to reflect on peer feedback, career ambitions, skill gaps, and personal motivations when identifying their development needs.
