Pay policy

This policy establishes a single base salary (£34,000 / £160 day rate for 2025–26) for all Adfree Cities workers regardless of role or seniority, reflecting the organisation's flat structure. Percentage uplifts are added (not compounded) to the base rate for circumstances including dependants (up to 15%), disability or long-term health issues (5%), length of service (up to 6%), and additional marginalisation factors (up to 5%); workers with significant unearned wealth or inheritance are expected to voluntarily decline equivalent uplifts. The policy prioritises confidentiality in claiming, financial transparency through open budgeting, and collective annual review, and was developed with input from all staff supported by RadHR.
