Staff review procedure

This policy sets out CAAT's full staff review process, covering the aims of reviews (progress, priorities, training needs, and career development) and the mechanics of a non-hierarchical, peer-led model. All staff rotate as reviewers, meeting every four months (January, May, and September); reviewees complete a self-assessment form in advance and receive named, non-anonymous feedback collected from colleagues and volunteers. The policy also describes how a Steering Committee Staff Support Group of four non-staff members receives Peer Review notes, conducts annual one-to-one office visits with each staff member, and responds to issues throughout the year — with written records required at every stage to avoid misunderstandings.
